ಮಾನ್ಯರೇ, ಎಸ್.ವಿ.ಜಿ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪೇನ್ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಕ್ಟೀಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ಯಾಂಪೇನ್ ಎಂದು ೨ ಬಗೆಯ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ಇವೆ. ಕ್ಯಾಂಪೇನ್ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ ೨೨ರ ಮುಂಚೆಯೇ ವರ್ಕಿಂಗ್ ಎಂದು ಅಸೈನ್ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆ. ಇತರ ಯಾವುದೇ ಭಾಷೆಯ ವೈಕಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಇದನ್ನ ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ. ಕನ್ನಡದ ಮಂದಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದರ ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಮೆಚ್ಚತಕ್ಕದ್ದೇ.

ಆದರೆ ಈ ಎಸ್.ವಿ.ಜಿ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪೇನಿನ ಮುಖಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ ೨೨ರ ನಂತರವೇ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪೇನ್ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದನೆ ಮಾಡತಕ್ಕದ್ದು ಎಂದು ಕಟ್ಟುಪಾಡು ವಿಧಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ, ಮುಖಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ವರ್ಕಿಂಗ್ ಟ್ಯಾಗ್ ಅನ್ನು ರದ್ದು ಮಾಡಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಮನವಿ.ನಿಬಂಧನೆ ಉಲ್ಲಂಘನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ ಎಂದು ದೋಷ ಹೊರುವುದು ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಡ. ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಯಮ ತಿಳಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಫಲರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ ಎಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹಣೆಪಟ್ಟಿ ಬೇಡ. ಅಷ್ಟು ದೊಡ್ಡ ವಿಷಯ ಅಲ್ಲ ಎಮ್ದು ಅನ್ನಿಸಿದರೆ, ದಯಮಾಡಿ ಇದನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗಣಿಸಿ, ಅರಳಿಕಟ್ಟೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಚರ್ಚೆಪುಟದಿಂದ ಕಿತ್ತುಹಾಕಿ, ಯಾವುದೇ ಪರಿಯ ಮುಜುಗರ ಬೇಡ. ಸದುದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಬ್ರಾಯರ ಅರಿಕೆಗೆ ತರುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಕಿಪೀಡಿಯವು ಹದಿಮೂರನೆಯ ಫಲಪ್ರದ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಸಂಭ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಈ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಾಚರಣೆಯ ಸಂತಸವನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಎಲ್ಲ ವಿಕಿಪೀಡಿಯನ್ನರನ್ನು ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ ೧೩, ೨೦೧೬ರಂದು ಶನಿವಾರ ವಿಕಿಪೀಡಿಯ ಫೋಟೋ ನಡಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಬಂಟ್ವಾಳ ಅಥವಾ ಪಿಲಿಕುಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ ೧೪, ೨೦೧೬ರಂದು ಭಾನುವಾರ ಹದಿಮೂರನೆ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಆಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು, ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಸಂತ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಸ್ವಾಯತ್ತ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ, ಎರಿಕ್ ಮಥಾಯಿಸ್ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸುವುದೆಂದು ದಿನ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿರುವ ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಕಿಪೀಡಿಯದ ೧೩ನೆಯ ವರ್ಷಾಚರಣೆ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಕಿಪೀಡಿಯ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಸರ್ವರೂ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಈ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಾಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಇರುವಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಹದಿಮೂರನೆಯ ವರ್ಷಾಚರಣೆ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಜ್ವಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ವರ್ಷಾಚರಣೆಯ ವಿಶೇಷವೆಂದರೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ಕಡೆ ನಡೆದ ಸಂಪಾದನೋತ್ಸವಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಅನೇಕ ಹೊಸ ಸಂಪಾದಕರನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗಲು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಸಂತ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.--Vishwanatha Badikana (ಚರ್ಚೆ) ೧೩:೪೩, ೧೭ ಜನವರಿ ೨೦೧೬ (UTC)}}

Animation for Bengali scripts ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ

Hi, I saw your wonderful animations of Kannada alphabets. It was amazing. Is there any documentation page on how you did that? If you are not too busy enough, can you please create animations for Bengali alphabets also? I also knocked in your commons talk page few days ago, but looks like, you have not checked it. ೧೯೯೦ರ ದಶಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಾಲ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕನ್ನಡ ನಟಿ ಅಂಜನಾ ಕುರಿತು ಇರುವ ವಿಕಿಪೀಡಿಯ ಪುಟವನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಾದ ಮಾಹಿತಿಗಳ ಕೊರತೆ ಎನ್ನುವ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಅಳಿಸುವಿಕೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಅಂಜನಾ ಕುರಿತು ಯಾವುದೇ ಜಾಲತಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಇಲ್ಲವಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯಾವುದೇ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಲಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಅಂಜನಾ ೧೯೯೦ರ ದಶಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್, ಅಂಬರೀಶ್, ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ್, ಅನಂತ್ ನಾಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ದೇವರಾಜ್ ಮುಂತಾದ ಮೇರು ನಟರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಾಯಕಿಯಾಗಿ ನಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದು ೯೦ರ ದಶಕದ ಕನ್ನಡ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿರುವ ವಿಷಯ. ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಕಳಶ, ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ, ಅಂಬರೀಶ್ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮೇಘ ಮಂದಾರ, ಮೈಸೂರು ಜಾಣ, ಅನಂತ್ ನಾಗ್ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಕಥೆ, ಆತಂಕ ಮತ್ತು ಟೈಗರ್ ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ್ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೆಂಟ್ರಲ್ ರೌಡಿ, ಕಿಲಾಡಿ ತಾತ ಮುಂತಾದ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಯಕಿಯಾಗಿ ಅಥವಾ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಾಶಿನಾಥ್ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸಿದ ಅಜಗಜಾಂತರ ಚಿತ್ರ ಹಿಂದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜುದಾಯಿ(೧೯೯೭) ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಯಾರದಾಗ ಅಂಜನಾ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಖ್ಯಾತ ತಾರೆ ಶ್ರೀದೇವಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ. ಇದೇ ಚಿತ್ರ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಂಗಾ ಜಮುನಾ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪುನರ್ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಗೊಂಡಾಗ ಮಾಲಾಶ್ರೀ ಈ ಪಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಾದ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಗಳ ಕೊರತೆಯಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಸೇರಿಸಲಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಪ್ರಾಯಶಃ ಈ ನಟಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯಾಗಲೀ ಅಥವಾ ಮೇಲೆ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿದ ಈಕೆ ಅಭಿನಯದ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಕುರಿತಾಗಲೀ ತಮಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಇದ್ದಂತೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿಗಳ ಕೊರತೆ ಎನ್ನುವ ಒಂದೇ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಪುಟವನ್ನು ಅಳಿಸಿ ಹಾಕುವುದು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸರಿ?. ಚಿಲೋಕ.ಕಾಮ್ ಜಾಲತಾಣದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಟಿ ಅಂಜನಾ ಕುರಿತು ಇರುವ ಪುಟದ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಪುಟವನ್ನು ಅಳಿಸುವಿಕೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಉದಯವಾಣಿ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾದ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖವನ್ನೂ ಸೇರಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ದಯಮಾಡಿ ಪುಟವನ್ನು ಅಳಿಸಬೇಡಿ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಮರೆತು ಹೋಗಿರುವ ನಟಿಯ ಕೆಲವು ವಿವರಗಳು ಕೊನೆಪಕ್ಷ ವಿಶ್ವಕೋಶವಾದ ವಿಕಿಪೀಡಿಯದಲ್ಲಿಯಾದರೂ ಉಳಿದರೆ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಇರುವ ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಸಿಗಬಹುದೆಂಬ ಸದುದ್ದೇಶವಷ್ಟೆ. ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದರೆ ನೀವೂ ಈ ಲೇಖನವನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿ. ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು Kannadacinema.

  • ನಾನು ಪುಟ ಐಎನ್‌ಎಸ್ ಕಲ್ವರಿ ಯನ್ನು ತುಂಬುವುದರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಅದನ್ನು ತಡೆದು ದೋಷ ಎಣಿಸಿದಿರಿ. ನಾನು ಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಯಾವುದೂ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ನಕಲು ಮಾಡಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೂ ನೀವು, ನಾನು ನಕಲು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಆಪಾದನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅದರ ಹಸರು ಬದಲಿಸಿ ಆಕ್ರಮಣ ಮಾಡಿದಿರಿ. ಆದರೂ ನಾನು, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಮಾಹಿತಗಳನ್ನಷ್ಟೇ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡರೆ ತಪ್ಪೇನು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದೆ. ಈಗಲೂ ನಾನು ಮಾಹಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬದಲಿಸದೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡರೆ ತಪ್ಪಲ್ಲವೆಂದೇ ಭಾವಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಮತ್ತು ಮಾಹಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಹಾಕಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯೋಚಿಸಿದ್ದು ನಿಜ. ನೀವು ಆ ರೀತಿ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಮಾಹಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬದಲಿಸಿ ಲೇಖನ ಬರೆದು ತೋರಿಸಿ ಎಂದರೆ- ಅದು ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಸಾದ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಈ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಧೋರಣೆ ನನಗೆ ವಿಕಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯ ಬಗೆಗೆ ಅತೀವ ಬೇಸರ ಬರುವಂತಾಗಿದೆ. ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಕ್ರಮಣ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮೊದಲೇ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಪುಟದ ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರಿ - ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನಕಲು ಮಾಡುವ ಮೋದಲೇ ಆಕ್ರಮಣ ಮಾಡಿದಿರಿ; ಉಪದೇಶ ಸುಲಭ ಅದೇ ನೀವು ಕ್ರೀಡೆ, ಚುನಾವಣೆ, ಜೀವನ ವಿವರ ಈ ಪುಟಗಳನ್ನು ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಒಂದು ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ನಕಲು ಮಾಡದೆ ಬರೆದು ತೋರಿಸಿದಲ್ಲಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮದು ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕ ಕಳಕಳಿ ಎಂದು ಒಪ್ಪಬಹುದು. ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಪುಸ್ತಕದ ಬದನೇಕಾಯಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರು ಮಾಡಲು ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ ಆಗುವುದು. ಒಂದು ಉದಾ:ಪುರುಷೋತ್ತಮ ಬಿಳಿಮಲೆ‎ ಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾದರೂ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖ ಪುಟದ ವಿವರ ನೀಡುವುದೇ? ಈ ಬಗೆಯ ನೆಪಮಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖದವು ನೂರಾರು ಪಟಗಳಿವೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪುಟ- ಕರ್ಣಕುಹರ ವೂ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖವಿಲ್ಲದ ಒಂದು. ಹೀಗೆ ನೀವು ಬರೆದ ಲೇಖನಕ್ಕೇ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖ ವರ್ಗ, ಕೊಂಡಿಗಳಿಲ್ಲ; ದೊಡ್ಡ ಉಪದೇಶ ಮಾಡುವಿರಿ, ಸಂಕೋಚವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.; ನೀವು ತಜ್ಞರಲ್ಲವೇ! ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲದ 'ಅತ್ಲೆಟಿಕ್ಸ್' ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಲೇಖನವನ್ನು ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ನೀವೇ ಬರೆದು ತೋರಿಸಿ. ಅದಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀವು ಬರೀ ತಕರಾರಿನ ಶೂರರೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಬೇಕಾಗುವುದು.ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ವಿಕಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ಆಸ್ತಿಯಂತೆ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಬಾರದಾಗಿ ವಿನಂತಿ. ಆಕ್ರಮಣಕ್ಕೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳುBschandrasgr (ಚರ್ಚೆ) ೧೭:೦೫, ೧೨ ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ ೨೦೧೭

ನನ್ನ ಕೋರಿಕೆಗಳು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ

  • 1)ಐಎನ್‌ಎಸ್ ಕಲ್ವರಿ ಈ ಹೊಸ ವಿಷಯದ ಪುಟ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲೇ ನೀವು ಅಡ್ಡಹಾಯ್ದು ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಹಾಕಬಾರದೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಬಂಧ ಮಾಡಿದುದರಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೇ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಅದು ಪೂರ್ಣ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಉಪಯೋಗವಿಲ್ಲದ ಲೇಖನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈಗ ಅದನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣಮಾಡುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲಿದೆ. ನಾನು ಅದರ ಮುಂದಿನ ಮಾಹಿತಿಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಸೇರಿಸಿ.
  • 2)ಅತ್ಲೆಟಿಕ್ಸ್ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಾನು ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಯೇ ಹಾಕುವುದು. ನೀವು ತೋರಿಸಿದ ವೆಬ್ ಸೈಟು ಲೇಖನ ಮಾಡಲು ಏನೂ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತದ ವಿಷಯವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನೂ ನೀವೇ ಪುಟ ತಯಾರಿಸಿ. ನಮಗೆ ಮಾದರಿ ನೋಡಿದಂತಾಗುವುದು.
  • 3) ನೀವು ತಯಾರಿಸಿದ ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ಉತ್ತಮ ಲೇಖನ ಯಾ ವಿಕಿ ಪುಟ ಇದ್ದರೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿ. ನೋಡಿ ಸಂತೋಷ ಪಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ತಿಳಿಯುವುದಿದ್ದರೆ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತೇನೆ.
  • 4)ನೀವು ಕೇವಲ ಪುಟ ರದ್ದುಮಾಡುವುದು, ಲೇಖನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೆರಡು ಪದಗಳನ್ನು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸುವುದು. ಐದಾರು ಜನ ಸೇರಿ ಸಭೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಇದರಿಂದ ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಕಿಯನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪಡಿಸಬಹುದೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದು ವ್ಯರ್ಥ ಕಲ್ಪನೆ ಎಂದು ನನ್ನ ಭಾವನೆ. ಮೀಟಿಂಗು ಖಂಡಿತ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ ಆದರೆ ಅದರ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶ ಮುಖ್ಯ-ಅವು: ಉತ್ತಮ ಲೇಖನಗಳು-ಟೆಂಪ್ಲೇಟಗಳು- ಅಪ್ ಡೇಟ್ ಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಉಪಯುಕ್ತವಾಗಬೇಕು.
  • ಅಪ್ ಡೇಟಾಗದ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಲೇಖನಗಳು ಹಳಸಲು ಅನ್ನದಂತೆ. ನೀವು ಅಪ್ ಡೇಟ್ ಮಾಡುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವೂ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಕೊಡದಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗೂ ಅಪ್ಡೇಟ್ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ತಕರಾರು ತೆಗೆಯುವುದರಿಂದ ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಕಿಗೇ ನಷ್ಟ. - ನಿಮಗೆ ಏನೂ ನಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲ –
  • 5) ನೀವು ನಿರ್ವಾಹಕರಾಗಿ ಯಜಮಾನಿಕೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಒಂದೂ ಉತ್ತಮ ಲೇಖನ ಹಾಕದಿದ್ದರೆ ಏನು ಪ್ರಯೋಜನ? ಉತ್ತಮ ಲೇಖನ ಹಾಕಿದರೆ, ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ನಾವೂ ಕಲಿಯಬಹುದು.
  • ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿ ತಾವು ಎಷ್ಟು ಲೇಖನ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದೀರಿ ಎಂದು ಕನ್ನಡವಿಕಿ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ವಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಲೇಖನ ಹಾಕಬಹುದು - ಹೋಗಲಿ ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಲೇಖನ ಹಾಕಬಹುದು. ಇದ್ದರೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿ.
  • 6)ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ಣಕುಹರ ಲೇಖನ ನೋಡಿ ನಿರಾಸೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ “ಒಂದು ವಾಕ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ” ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಉಳಿದವಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವ ಆಧಾರವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, “ಒಬ್ಬ ಗಣಕ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಕಿ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞರಾಗಿ” “ನಿರ್ವಾಹಕರಾಗಿ”, ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯಕ್ಕಾಗಲೀ ದೇಹಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಸರಿಯಾದ ವರ್ಗವನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡದೆ, “ಮಾನವ” - ಎಂಬ ಸಮಾಜ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಕಾದ ವರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಆದರೆ ನಮಗೆ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀರಿ!! ಕೇವಲ ಮೀಟಿಂಗ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಕಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸುತ್ತೀರಾ?
  • 7) ಎಲ್ಲದಕ್ಕೂ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ವಿಕಿ ಉದಾಹರಣೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೀರಿ; ಆದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪುಟಕ್ಕೆ ಒಬ್ಬರಂತೆ ಹತ್ತಾರು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನ ಸಂಪಾದಕರು ನಿರ್ವಾಕರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ –ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಲೇಖನಗಳು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯರು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ. ಸ್ವಂತ ವಾಕ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವ ಭರದಲ್ಲಿ, ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಬಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪವಾಕ್ಯ- ಸಂಯೋಗ್ಯ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇಡೀ ಪ್ಯಾರಾಕ್ಕೇ ಒಂದು ವಾಕ್ಯ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು – ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಾವು ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಓದುಗರಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಬರೆಯಬೇಕು – ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಏನು ಪ್ರಯೋಜನ?
  • 8) ಅಪ್ ಡೇಟ್ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ, ವಿಷಯ ನಿರೂಪಣೆ ಸರಿ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ, ಸಮಗ್ರತೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವ ಪುಟಗಳಿದ್ದರೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಕಿ ಅಪ್ರಯೋಜಕ ವಾಗುವುದು.
  • 9) ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವವರೇ ಬೆರಳೆಣಿಕೆಯಷ್ಟು ಜನ. ಅವರನ್ನೂ ನೀವು ಯಜಮಾನಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒದ್ದು ಓಡಿಸಿದರೆ, ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಕಿ ಬರಡಾಗಿ, ಬಡವಾಗುವುದು, ನಾನೇ ಒಡೆಯ ಎಂದು, ನೀವು ಮಾತ್ರಾ ಉಳಿಯಬಹುದು.
  • 10) ಇಷ್ಟು ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣ, ನಾನು ಗಣಕಯಂತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಸಬ, ವಿಕಿಗೆ ಅದರ ತಂತ್ರಾಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಸಬ; ಆದರೂ ಈ ಹೊಸ ವಿಕಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ

ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಈಗಿನ ಮುಖ್ಯ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಗುವಂತಾಗಲಿ. ಒಂದು ಉತ್ತಮ ವಿಶ್ವಕೋಶ ಮಾಡಲಾಗದ ನಾವು ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರಿಗೆ ಸಿಗಲಿ ಎಂಬ ಬಯಕೆ ಅಷ್ಟೆ. ಆದರೆ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞರಾದ ನೀವು ಏನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರಿ! ತೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರುಗೊಬ್ಬರ ಹಾಕುವ ಬದಲು ಕತ್ತಿ ಝಳಪಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಸರಿಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಗಿಡ ಕಡಿಯುವ ಕೆಲಸ; ಕಲ್ಲು ಹೊಡೆಯುವ ಕೆಲಸ.

ಸರಿಮಾಡಿ/ರದ್ದಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದೆ/ ಉತ್ತಮ ಪಡಿಸಿ/ ಈ ಬಾವುಟ ಹಾಕುವ ಬದಲು
  • ತಪ್ಪಾದ ಲೇಖನ ತಿದ್ದಿ ಬರೆಯಬಾರದೇ?
  • ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ವರ್ಗ ಕೊಂಡಿ ಕೊಡಬಾರದೇ?

  • ಹೊಸಬರಿಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡ ಬಾರದೇ?
  • ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಅರ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿದ ಐಎನ್‌ಎಸ್ ಕಲ್ವರಿ ಲೇಖನಕ್ಕೆ ಉಳಿದ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನ ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಹಾಕಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟುವುದರೊಳಗೇ ಹೊಡೆದಿರಿ, ಸಾಯಿಸಬೇಡಿ !.

  • ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ಯಿಂದ ಕಾಪಿ ಮಾಡದೆ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಲೇಖನಗಳನ್ನು ನೀವೇ ಅಪ್ ಗ್ರೇಡ್ ಮಾಡಿ. ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ರೆ ಅದು ಹಳಸಲು ಲೇಖನ ಆಗುವುದು. ಹಾಗೆ ಆದರೆ ಹಳಸಲು ಲೇಖನ ಮಾಡಿದ ದೋಷ ನಿಮಗೇ ಇದೆ.
  • ಉಪ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿಯಾದ ವೆಂಕಯ್ಯನಾಯಿಡು ಪುಟವನ್ನು ನೀವೇ ತಯಾರಿಸಿ.(ನಾನು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಮಾಹಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಪಥ್ಯ.)ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಲೇಖನಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಂಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟು ಕೈತೊಳದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು.
  • ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯ ಕೆಲಸ ಏನೂ ಮಾಡಲಾಗದಿದ್ದರೆ ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಲ್ಲು ಹೊಡೆಯಬೇಡಿ; ಕತ್ತಿ ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ಬೇಜಾರಾದಾಗಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕತ್ತಿ ಬೀಸಬೇಡಿ. ನೀವೇ ತಂತ್ರಾಂಶ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ತಿಳಿದಿರುವುದರಿಂದ(ಎಷ್ಟು ತಿಳಿದರೂ ಅದು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವೇ) ಸರ್ವಜ್ಞರೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಬೇಡಿ.
  • ನೀವೂ ಮಾಡದೆ ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗೂ ಅವಕಾಶ ಕೊಡದೆ ಇರುವ ಯಜಮಾನಿಕೆಗೆ ಏನು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು!

@Bschandrasgr: ನೀವು ಅರಳಿಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಉತ್ತರಿಸುವ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಇಲ್ಲ (ಪ್ರಯೋಜನ ಇಲ್ಲ)ಎಂದು ಸುಮ್ಮನಾಗಿದ್ದೆ. ನೀವು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ನೀವು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದೇ ಸರಿ ಎಂದು ವಾದಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ. ನಿವು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇ ಸರಿ ಎಂದಿದ್ದರೆ ಏನು ಬೇಕಾದರೂ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವತ್ತು ಹೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ ಸಂಪಾದಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಎಂದು. ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಸಂಪಾದಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿ ಎಂದಷ್ಟೇ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು. ನಾನು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಲೇಖನಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಕರ್ಣಕುಹರ ಲೇಖನದ ವರ್ಗ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದೇ ವರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು ಉಪ ವರ್ಗಗಳಿವೆ. ನನಗೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷವಾದ ವಿಷಯ ಏನೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಪಾದನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ತಪ್ಪು ಕಂಡು ಹುಡುಕಿದಿರಿ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು. ಮುಂದೆ ಸರಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಕರ್ಣಕುಹರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖ ಕರ್ಣ ಮತ್ತು ಹೃದಯದ ಸಂಬಂಧಕ್ಕೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕಿಂತೂ ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿಯೇ ನೀಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದನೆ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿಲ್ಲ. ನನಗೆ ಸವಾಲು ಹಾಕುವವರು ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಕಾಪಿ ಮಾಡದೇ, ಅದರ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ವಿವಿಧ ಮೂಲಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಪಡೆದು (ಕೇವಲ ಪ್ರಜಾವಾಣಿಯಿಂದ ಮಾತ್ರ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸದೇ) ಲೇಖನ ತಯಾರಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿ. ಯಾರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಪಾದನೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಬದಲಾಗಿ ತಿದ್ದಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಾನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ತೆಗೆಯಬೇಡಿ ಎಂದಲ್ಲ. ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯ ಮಾಹಿತಿ, ಬೇರೆ ಮೂಲಗಳ ಮಾಹಿತಿಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ ವಿಶ್ವಕೋಶಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ಲೇಖನ ತಯಾರಿಸಿ ಎಂದು. ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಕಾಪಿ(ನಕಲು) ಹೊಡೆಯಬೇಡಿ ಎಂದು. ಮತ್ತು ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ನನ್ನ ವಿರೋಧ ಇಲ್ಲ. ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ವಿಕಿಪೀಡಿಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ. ನಾನೂ ಕೇವಲ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸಂಪಾದಕ. ಗಣಕ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞ ಏನೂ ಅಲ್ಲ. ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾನು ಎಂದೂ ತಡೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ತಿದ್ದಲು ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಏನು ಬೇಕಾದರೂ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. ಲೇಖನ ತಯಾರಿಸುವಾಗ {{Underconstruction}} ಟೆಂಪ್ಲೇಟನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿ. ಲೇಖನ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡ ನಂತರ ಟೆಂಪ್ಲೇಟನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯಿರಿ. ನಂತರ ಆ ಲೇಖನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಿಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವ ವಿಷಯವೇನಾದರೂ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಸರಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಧಾಳಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಧಾಳಿ ಮಾಡಿ ನನಗೆ ಏನು ಲಾಭವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ನಷ್ಟವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ನಾನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಧನಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀರೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. --ಗೋಪಾಲಕೃಷ್ಣ (ಚರ್ಚೆ) ೦೭:೦೨, ೧೫ ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ ೨೦೧೭ (UTC)

I’m Erick, the coordinator of WAM 2017. Thanks for your effort and help at m:Wikipedia Asian Month 2017! Here are some more information about organizational matter of the event at a national level.

You are receiving this message because you have signed up as a organizer or in the list.

Timeline

The event has started and will end in the November 30th 23:59 (UTC). However, we are late for some matter. So we need your help:

  • Invite previous participants and your community members to join. We have a template you can use.
  • Translate Central Notice for your community (more instruction below) as well as sending a notice in village pump. Go public!
  • Become the jury member in a campaign on Fountain which is an amazing tool for you to supervise participants’ articles. If you don’t have the campaign set up, please contact us! And put a link to your community’s campaign page for participants’ navigation.
  • Organize a off-site editathon event. A coffee bar, internet and laptops. Though it’s optional. If you want to do that, please contact me.

In the following days, you should answer the questions from your community and supervise the submissions. Hope you have fun!

Prepare Central Notice

Central Notice shows a banner on the top of pages in your wiki project along the event timeframe. We will use this to engage with audience. Steps:

  1. Translate, change logo and link to event page. Find your project's Central Notice here. For example, we can change the banner for Chinese Wikipedia here.
  2. When you mark the 4 items (translation) as done. I'll enable the central notice in your language for this month.

Special Prize

You can find some special prizes in Event Partner page. They can be claimed by:

  • Write an article about Indigenous people in Taiwan at Wikipedia Asian Month (supported by Wikimedia Taiwan).
  • Write articles on monuments of Bhubaneswar (supported by Bhubaneswar Heritage Edit-a-thon).

Here are some number I would like to share with you
Total submitted: 7429 articles; 694 users
Here are what will come after the end of WAM
  • Make sure you judge all articles before December 12th, and participants who can improve their contribution (not submit) before December 10th.
  • Once you finish the judging, please update this page after December 12th
  • There will be three round of address collection scheduled: December 15th, December 20th, and December 25th.
  • Please report the local Wikipedia Asian Ambassador (who has most accepted articles) on this page, if the 2nd participants have more than 30 accepted articles, you will have two ambassadors.
  • There will be a progress page for the postcards.

Hi WAM Organizer! Hopefully, everything works just fine so far! Need Help Button, post in any language is fine

  • Here are some recent updates and clarification of rules for you, and as always, let me know if you have any idea, thought or question.
    • Additional souvenirs (e.g. postcard) will be sent to Ambassadors and active organizers.
    • A participant's article count is combined on all language Wikipedias they have contributed to
    • Only Wikipedia Asian Month on Wikipedia or Wikivoyage projects count (no WikiQuote, etc.)
    • The global top 3 article count will only be eligible on Wikipedias where the WAM article requirement is at least 3,000 bytes and 300 words.
    • If your community accepts an extension for articles, you should set up a page and allow participants to submit their contributions there.
    • In case of redirection not allowed submitting in Fountain tool, a workaround is to delete it, copy and submit again. Or a submission page can be used too.
    • Please make sure enforce the rules, such as proper references, notability, and length.
    • International organizers will double check the top 3 users' accepted articles, so if your articles are not fulfilling the rules, they might be disqualified. We don't want it happened so please don't let us make such a decision.

Invitation to Organize Wiki Loves Love 2019 ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ

 

Wiki Loves Love (WLL) is an International photography competition of Wikimedia Commons to subject love testimonials happening in the month of February 2019.

The primary goal of the competition is to document love testimonials through human cultural diversity such as monuments, ceremonies, snapshot of tender gesture, and miscellaneous objects used as symbol of love; to illustrate articles in the worldwide free encyclopedia Wikipedia, and other Wikimedia Foundation (WMF) projects. February is around the corner and Wiki Loves Love team invites you to organize and promote WLL19 in your country and join hands with us to celebrate love and document it on Wikimedia Commons. The theme of 2019 is Festivals, ceremonies and celebrations of love.

To organize Wiki Loves Love in your region, sign up at WLL Organizers page. You can also simply support and spread love by helping us translate the commons page in your local language which is open for translation.

The contest starts runs from 1-28 February 2019. Independent from if there is a local contest organised in your country, you can help by making the photo contest Wiki Loves Love more accessible and available to more people in the world by translating the upload wizard, templates and pages to your local language. Hope you are all doing well! Now it's a great time to sign up for the 2019 Wikipedia Asian Month, which will take place in November this year (29 days left!). Here are some updates and improvements we will make for upcoming WAM. If you have any suggestions or thoughts, feel free to discuss on the meta talk page.

  1. Please add your language project by 24th October 2019. Please indicate if you need multiple organisers by 29th October.
  2. Please update your community members about you being the organiser of the WAM.
  3. We want to host many onsite Edit-a-thons all over the world this year. If you would like to host one in your city, please take a look and sign up at this page.

Also there have been community-wide discussions on local Village Pumps on various languages. Several of these discussions have reached consensus, and supported the initiative. To conclude this initial conversation and formalise the consensus, an IRC is being hosted today evening. We can clear any concerns/doubts that we have during the IRC. [WikiConference India 2020] Invitation to participate in the Community Engagement Survey ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ

This is an invitation to participate in the Community Engagement Survey, which is one of the key requirements for drafting the Conference & Event Grant application for WikiConference India 2020 to the Wikimedia Foundation. The survey will have questions regarding a few demographic details, your experience with Wikimedia, challenges and needs, and your expectations for WCI 2020. The responses will help us to form an initial idea of what is expected out of WCI 2020, and draft the grant application accordingly. Please note that this will not directly influence the specificities of the program, there will be a detailed survey to assess the program needs post-funding decision.

For organizers:

Here are the basic guidance and regulations for organizers. Please remember to:

  1. use Fountain tool (you can find the usage guidance easily on meta page), or else you and your participants’ will not be able to receive the prize from WAM team.
  2. Add your language projects and organizer list to the meta page before October 29th, 2020.
  3. Inform your community members WAM 2020 is coming soon!!!
  4. If you want WAM team to share your event information on Facebook / twitter, or you want to share your WAM experience/ achievements on our blog, feel free to send an email to info@asianmonth.wiki or PM us via facebook.

If you want to hold a thematic event that is related to WAM, a.k.a. WAM sub-contest. The process is the same as the language one.

  1. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year we hope all the Edit-a-thons are online not physical ones.
  2. The international postal systems are not stable enough at the moment, WAM team have decided to send all the qualified participants/ organizers extra digital postcards/ certifications. (You will still get the paper ones!)
  3. Our team has created a meta page so that everyone tracking the progress and the delivery status.

Wikipedia Asian Month 2022

Hi WAM organizers and participants!

Hope you are all doing well! Now is the time to sign up for Wikipedia Asian Month 2022, which will take place in this November.

For organizers:

Here are the basic guidance and regulations for organizers. Please remember to:

  1. use Wikipedia Asian Month 2022 Programs & Events Dashboard. , or else you and your participants’ will not be able to receive the prize from WAM team.
  2. Add your language projects and organizer list to the meta page 1 week before your campaign start date.
  3. Inform your community members WAM 2022 is coming!!!
  4. If you want WAM team to share your event information on Facebook / twitter, or you want to share your WAM experience/ achievements on our blog, feel free to send an email to info@asianmonth.wiki.

If you want to hold a thematic event that is related to WAM, a.k.a. WAM sub-contest. The process is the same as the language one.

For participants:

Here are the event regulations and Q&A information. Just join us! Let’s edit articles and win the prizes!

Here are some updates from WAM team:

  1. Based on the COVID-19 pandemic situation in different region, this year we still suggest all the Edit-a-thons are online, but you are more then welcome to organize local offline events.
  2. The international postal systems are not stable, WAM team have decided to send all the qualified participants/ organizers a digital Barnstars.
