ಇಥಿಯೋಪಿಯಾ? ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ

ಇಥಿಯೋಪಿಯಾ ಎನ್ನುವ ಲೇಖನವನ್ನು ನೀವು ಇತಿಯೋಪಿಯಾ ಎಂದು redirect ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರ ಕಾರಣ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಲೇಖನವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಇತರ ವಿಕಿಪೀಡಿಯಾಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಡುಕಿದಾಗ ಲೇಖನದ ಶೀರ್ಷಿಕೆಯನ್ನು Ethiopia ಎಂದು ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್‍ದಲ್ಲಿ, इथियॊपिया ಎಂದು ಹಿಂದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗು ఇథియోపియా ಎಂದು ತೆಲುಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಇದರ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಬರವಣಿಗೆ 'ತಿ' ಅಲ್ಲ;'ಥಿ' ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಬರಿತ್ತದೆ. ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸುವಿರಾ?

- ಪ್ರಿಯ ಸುನಾಥ್‍ರವರೆ, I only create redirects so that people do not unnecessarily expend time and effort in recreating equivalent articles. In this particular case, the article ಇತಿಯೋಪಿಯ already existed. So I created the common alternate spelling as a redirect. It in no way means that I think that this is the right spelling. But I am currently of the opinion that minor spelling differences when it comes to proper nouns from other languages is not a big issue as long as a user searching with the common alternate spellings land up in a page that has the right information. Hence my stress on creating redirects.
