ಅಮರಾವತಿ ಆಂಧ್ರ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಹೊಸ ರಾಜಧಾನಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ನಗರ ಆಂಧ್ರ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ರಾಜಧಾನಿ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿರುವ ಗುಂಟೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ನದಿಯ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಡದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. [8] ಈ ಯೋಜನಾಬದ್ಧ ನಗರದ ಶಂಕುಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿಯವರಿಂದ ೨೦೧೫ ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ ೨೨ರಂದು ನಡೆಯಿತು.[9] ಗುಂಟೂರು ಮತ್ತು ವಿಜಯವಾಡ ರಾಜಧಾನಿಗೆ ಸಮೀಪವಿರುವ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ನಗರಗಳು. [10]
