ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನು ತಂದೆ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಬೆಲೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಸೀತಾ ಮತ್ತ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರೊಂದಿಗೆ ವನವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವನು 13 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ವನವಾಸ ನಿರಾತಂಕವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುವುದು ಆದರೆ ಶೂರ್ಪಣಕಿ ಎಂಬ ರಾಕ್ಷಸಿ ಬಂದು ಇವರ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾಳು ಮಾಡುವಳು. ನಂತರ ಆಕೆಯ ಮೂಗನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ ಕೊಯ್ಯುವನು ಆಗ ಆಕೆ ಆಕೆಯ ಅಣ್ಣ ಲಂಕಾಧಿಪತಿ, ಮಹಾಶಿವ ಭಕ್ತ ರಾವಣನಿಗೆ ದೂರು ನೀಡಿ ಸೀತೆಯು ಸುಂದರಿಯೆಂದು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೀನು ನೋಡಿದರೆ ಬಹಳ ಚೆಂದವೆಂದು ಹೇಳುವಳು. ಆಗ ರಾವಣ ಮಾಯಾವೇಶಧರಿಸಿ ಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಅಪಹರಿಸುವನು. ಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಅರೆಸುತ್ತಾ
