Introduction
ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿThis template and Template:WikiProjectBanners combine several talk page banners (generally three or more) into a nested shell. They were designed for WikiProject banners and will only work reliably with such templates.
The difference between the two is that WikiProjectBannerShell (WPBS) defaults to displaying a one-line summary of each WikiProject banner, while WikiProjectBanners (WPB) defaults to displaying only a "[show]" link.
Usage
ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿWikiProjectBannerShell is normally used when more than two and fewer than six banners are present on the talk page, and WikiProjectBanners when six or more are present. WikiProject assessment bots may change shell templates per this usage guideline when the bot is editing the talk page for other reasons. If local consensus on a talk page is to not follow this guideline, please specify |collapsed=yes or |collapsed=no explicitly to override the bots.
The template requires each banner to have a bit of coding inserted into it that allows it to be condensed. If a WikiProject banner has not implemented the code, the banner will not nest properly in the shell. If you find a banner that has not been coded, you can request that the code be added, on this template's talk page. Note that {{WPBannerMeta}} automatically includes the appropriate code.
Note that adding a /Comments sub-page will automatically cause the banner shell to display a "
This article has an assessment summary page." message.

The |1= is not optional and must be included at the end of the first line.
Note that {{WikiProjectBanners}} can also be used with the same parameter options, although the defaults are slightly different.
Optional parameters

|blp=yesor|living=yeswill display the{{BLP}}banner above the shell. This must be added for articles about living people. Don't add|blp=noor|living=nofor dead people. - Adding
|blpo=yeswill display the{{BLP others}}banner above the shell. This should be used for articles where{{BLP}}does not apply directly to the subject, but which nevertheless have content that directly relates to other living persons. Cannot be used if|blp=yes. - Adding
|activepol=yeswill display the{{Active politician}}banner above the shell. - Adding
|text=More banners...will display the text "More banners ..." instead of the standard text "This article is within the scope of the following WikiProjects:". Of course, it will also display any other text, if you choose to specify it. - Adding
|collapsed=yeswill cause the outer table to be collapsed, hiding even the project names. Adding|collapsed=no(the default) will cause the outer table to not be collapsed, showing the summary of the banners. - Adding
|banner collapsed=nowill cause the individual banners inside the shell to be fully expanded.
