This template is for use in referencing the population of New Zealand places using the 2006 Census data provided by Statistics New Zealand at http://www.stats.govt.nz/Census/2006CensusHomePage/QuickStats/AboutAPlace.aspx

Usage ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ
The template has two unnamed parameters.
- The first is the statistical area id. This is the seven-digit number starting with the digits in the Statistics New Zealand URL: area units (suburbs) begin with "35", local councils begin with "20", regions begin with "10", and New Zealand as a whole is "9999999". If this parameter is blank, the link will be to the Statistics New Zealand Quickstats base page.
- The second parameter is the name of the statistical district, and is required only for display. It is not part of the generated url. If the article title matches the district's name, it is not required as the page name is inserted by default.
