This template is used for settlements in the old West Riding of Yorkshire. It makes an External Link to the relevant parish entry at GENUKI. This can be identified using the index at http://www.genuki.org.uk:8080/big/eng/YKS/Misc/Where/index.html.
The template takes between 1 and 3 positional parameters:
1: (essential) the name of the parish - this will sometimes, but not always, be the same as the pagename. A decision was made not to use {{PAGENAME}} because the page might be moved, perhaps for disambiguation, at a later stage.
2: (optional) the version of the parish name, if different, which is used in the URL on Genuki (for example "Barwickinelmet" in http://www.genuki.org.uk:8080/big/eng/YKS/WRY/Barwickinelmet/) - removing spaces if present or making other changes. If this is the same as parameter 1, leave it blank.
3: (optional) the name of the settlement, if it is not the name of the parish, to generate a note saying "([settlement name] is in this parish)". This parameter will often be the page name, but will usually omit any geographical disambiguation (eg ", West Yorkshire"), from that name.
