This template enables the citation of articles from the Wikisource project the Nuttall Encyclopædia in the manner of {{Cite encyclopedia}}.

{{Cite Nuttall|title=Title of Nuttall article}}[note ೧]

The article title should match what is used in Wikisource:The Nuttall Encyclopædia, but without any pronunciation accents (`) if there are any. Use the first letter of the article title in place of "X". The letter should be capitalized without an accent or other deviation from a plain Latin character. If the first letter is a ligature, enter the name without ligatures, e.g. use "Ae" for articles beginning with "Æ". When there is more than one article with the same label (John Leland appears twice for example), the source of the encyclopedia page for that letter will have to be consulted to find the proper label to use, if indeed the labels are differentiated. There are also noicon short options:

This template places articles into a hidden category with sub-categories to aid maintenance:

  • {{Nuttall}}, for articles that incorporate text from the Nuttall Encyclopedia in a Wikipedia article.
  • {{Nuttall poster}}, for use in Further reading or External links sections. It places a Wikisource poster box (a graphical template) on the right hand side of the screen.
  • Wikipedia:Sister projects.
  1. For compatibility with similar templates, wstitle can be substituted for title, and indeed the parameter name can be omitted completely. Whichever version is used, a link is constructed to Wikisource since the implementation of the Encyclopædia there is complete.
