We had discussions with organiser of the competition, [[:meta:User:Wikilover90|User:Wikilover90]], in the begining of the competition.We felt that 3000 bytes are not good enough to maintain the quality of articles in Kannada Wikipedia. 300 words in Kannada will become almost 6000 - 9000 bytes. Hence we decided to have minimum 6000 bytes for Kannada. Also it is easy to count bytes rather than words. When we, the organisers for Kannada, myself and [[ಸದಸ್ಯ:Dhanalakshmi .K. T|User: Dhanalakshmi .K. T]], mentioned these facts to the main organiser, [[:meta:User:Wikilover90|User:Wikilover90]], we were allowed to have our own conditions for Kannada.
