'''ಕೃಷ್ಣಾ ನದಿ''' [[ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತ]]ದ ಎರಡನೆಯ ದೊಡ್ಡ ನದಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ನದಿ [[ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ|ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ]] ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಘಟ್ಟದ ಮಹಾದೇವ ಪರ್ವತ ಶ್ರೇಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ [[ಮಹಾಬಲೇಶ್ವರ]]ದ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಸಮುದ್ರ ಮಟ್ಟಕ್ಕಿಂತ ೧೩೩೮ ಮೀಟರ ಎತ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಗಮವಾಗಿ ಸುಮಾರು ೧೩೯೨ ಕಿ.ಮಿ.ಗಳಷ್ಟು ಹರಿದು [[ಆಂಧ್ರಪ್ರದೇಶ]]ದ ಹಂಸಲಾದೀವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ [[ಬಂಗಾಳ ಕೊಲ್ಲಿ]] ಯನ್ನು ಸೇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಕೃಷ್ಣಾ ನದಿ [[ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ]],[[ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ]], ಮತ್ತು [[ಆಂಧ್ರಪ್ರದೇಶ]] ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಹಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ಸುಮಾರು ೪೮೩ ಕಿ.ಮಿ.ಹರಿಯುತ್ತದೆ.ಇದರ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದ ಉಪನದಿಗಳೆಂದರೆ [[ ತುಂಗಭದ್ರಾ]] , [[ಕೊಯ್ನಾ]], [[ಭೀಮಾ]] , [[ಮಲಪ್ರಭಾ]] ,ಮತ್ತು [[ಘಟಪ್ರಭಾ]]
