ರಾಮಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಪೆರಿಯಾರರು ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 24, 1973ರಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ 94ನೆಯ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಧನರಾದರು. ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿ ತಾವು ನಂಬಿದ್ದ ಧ್ಯೆಯ, ಮಾನವೀಯತೆ, ಸಮಾನತೆ, ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದ ರಾಮಸ್ವಾಮಿ ನಾಯ್ಕರ್ ಅವರು ಹಲವು ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
