B Suresha is an actor, director, writer, playwright and producer who works prominently in [[Kannada fillms]]. He was born in 1962 in Davanagere and studied ceramic engineering. He has indulged himself in amateur theatre since 1972 and is now an active theatre personality. B Suresha’s play ‘Shapurada Seeningi - Sathya’ won the Karnataka Sahitya Akademi award for the year 1997. In 2012, his book ‘Ombatthu Natakagalu’ won the Karnataka Sahitya Akademi Award
He began his career in the movies in 1967 with Girish Kasaravalli’s ‘Ghatashraddha’ as a child artist. He is runs a production company called Media House Studio along with his wife [[Shylaja Nag]]. B Suresha is still actively working in theatre, television and movies.

In 1988, he became an independent screen and dialogue writer through K S L Swami’s ‘Mithileya Seetheyaru’. Since then, B Suresha has worked in more than 25 films as a writer. He has worked with many prominent technicians and artists of Kannada Cinema, namely [[Ravichandran]], [[Girish Kasaravalli]], [[G.V.Iyer]], [[Chandrashekar Kambar]], [[Prakash Rai]], [[Shankar Nag]], [[Vaishali Kasaravalli]], etc.
B. Suresha has directed 5 feature films. They have been critically acclaimed and were screened in various film festivals across the world. He is a National Film Awardee.

B Suresha’s acting in S. Surendra Nath’s play ‘Na Tukaram Alla’ has been appreciated by many.

From 1992, B Suresha ventured into television too. His daily serial ‘Sadhane’ which was telecasted through Door darshan, was one among the most popular serials. ‘Sadhane’ won many accolades including best daily serial, best direction, best writer awards.
Naakuthanthi, a daily serial written and directed by B Suresha was telecasted in Udaya TV from 2004 to 2009, featuring 1400 episodes. Under his guidance, ‘Thakadhimitha’, another daily serial, was telecasted in Udaya TV from 2005 to 2009 featuring 891 episodes. From 2010 to 2016, ‘Preethi Prema’, an anthology telefilm series was telecasted every weekend in Udaya TV. This was made under his guidance. This telefilm series introduced more than 30 new filmmakers and more than 25 writers.
From 2010 to 2014, ‘Alagulimane’, a daily serial, was successfully telecasted in Udaya TV featuring 654 episodes. From 2012 to 2015, ‘Madarangi’, a daily serial telecasted in Udaya TV, completed a telecast of 650 episodes becoming popular among the audience. From 2013 to 2015, ‘Kadambari Kanaja’ a daily serial based a Kannada Novel was telecasted in Udaya TV featuring 550 episodes. Between 2016 and 2017, under P Sheshadri’s direction ‘Sakshi’, 450 episodic daily serial; under Syed Ashraf’s direction ‘Family no 1’, a 900 episodic daily serial; under Bhartheesh’s direction ‘Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa Da Ni’, a 550 episodic daily serial was telecasted in Udaya Tv. ‘Jeevanadi’, a daily serial based Saraswathi Nataraja’s novel telecasted 500 episodes under Syed Ashraf’s direction in Udaya TV. ‘Kshama’, a daily soap based on a story written by B Suresha, started its telecast in 2019 in Udaya TV and has completed 100 episodes successfully. In Udaya TV, reality shows ‘Star Paaka’, ‘Nammoora Paaka’, ‘Divya Degula’, ‘Hosa Belaku’ were telecasted, each completing 1000 episodes.

B Suresha runs a book publication company called ‘Naakuthanthi Prakashana’. This mainly publishes works of the people working in media in the form of books.
B Suresha’s play ‘Girija Kalyana’ was performed across India through B Jayashree’s drama troupe Spandana. This play has been translated to Hindi, Marathi, and Urdu languages as well. It was performed many times by Ipta Mumbai, under M S Sathyu’s direction in the name ''Girija ke sapne''. [[Amol Palekar]]'s troupe has performed the same play in [[Marathi]]
Many writings of B Suresha has been published in various newsletters and magazines. A collection of his writings was published under the title ‘Belli Anka’.
==As a producer==
Through his company Media House Studio, the first film produced by B Suresha, ‘Gubbachigalu’, introduced Abhaya Simha as a director. Gubbachigalu was screened in the Los Angeles and New York International Film Festivals, The International Film Festival of India, Kolkata International Film Festival.
‘Naanu Nanna Kanasu’, a feature film directed by [[Prakash Rai]] in 2009, was jointly produced by him and Prakash Rai’s production company. This film completed a successful theatrical run of 125 days.
He also produced the Kannada feature film ‘Sakkare’. The film starred Golden Star Ganesh and Deepa Sannidhi in the lead roles.
In 2019, he produced ‘Yajamana’, a feature film starring Challenging Star Darshan. The film completed a successful theatrical run of 100 days. It also won the Best Film Award in the [[Bangalore International Film Festival]].

==Philanthropy==
B Suresha has influenced the opening of many Film Clubs promoting tasteful film watching in many towns like Gulbarga, Mysore, Mandya and Shivamogga.
From 2008 to 2014, B Suresha was member of the Karnataka Government’s Kannada Abhivriddhi Pradhikara.
He has been a part of Suchitra Film Society’s working committee from 2010. He became the president of Suchitra Film Society in 2018. B Suresha is also one of trustee of Suchitra Film and Cultural Academy frim October 2011.

B. Suresha has worked in more than 50 plays since his childhood. He has indulged himself in amateur theatre since 1972 and is now an active theatre personality. He has written 18 plays. He has directed more than 30 plays including Shakespeare’s Macbeth and King Lear. He has nine published plays. He has worked as a light desinger and art director for many plays. He has also acted in a number of plays.
B. Suresha is a trustee of Ranga Shankara since October 2014. He has been a trustee of Natana, Mysore from 2013.
